TERMS OF SERVICE

Terms for a professional decision-support tool.

These terms govern access to DFIR Toolkit, including its encrypted local workspace, reference materials, exports, and subscription services.

EFFECTIVE JULY 22, 2026

Agreement and provider

DFIR Toolkit is provided by The Waldrep Company LLC, an Alabama limited liability company. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you use the service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

Product scope

DFIR Toolkit provides documentation workflows, calculations, reference material, checklists, and portable exports for digital forensic and incident-response professionals. It does not acquire, parse, examine, or analyze evidence and does not replace agency policy, validated forensic tools, legal advice, technical review, or examiner judgment.

Customer responsibility

  • Use the product only within lawful authority and applicable professional obligations.
  • Validate calculations, references, artifact behavior, and exported records before relying on them.
  • Protect devices, browser profiles, vault passphrases, backups, and exports.
  • Maintain required chain-of-custody, retention, disclosure, and quality-assurance controls.
  • Do not upload or transmit case content through support or billing channels.

Subscriptions, renewal, and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically on the monthly or annual cadence shown at checkout until canceled. Prices and applicable taxes are displayed before payment. You may cancel through the Stripe-hosted billing portal linked from your account.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period, and editing access continues until that time. A failed renewal places the workspace into read-only mode immediately. Read-only access preserves review, backup verification, and case and form exports while blocking record changes.

Seven-day refund policy

You may request a refund within seven calendar days after an initial subscription charge or renewal charge by emailing info@thewaldrepcompany.com. Include the billing email and Stripe invoice or receipt identifier, but do not include case content, credentials, or vault materials.

Approved refunds return to the original payment method. After the seven-day window, charges are generally nonrefundable except where required by law. Canceling a subscription does not automatically refund the current period.

Acceptable use

You may not interfere with the service, bypass licensing or security controls, introduce malicious code, use the service to violate law or third-party rights, resell access without written permission, or attempt to obtain another user's account or local vault.

Ownership and license

The product, interface, original reference summaries, and related materials are owned by or licensed to The Waldrep Company LLC. Customers retain ownership and responsibility for their case content and exports. A subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the product during the subscription term.

Availability and changes

Features may change as security, compatibility, and workflow needs evolve. Maintenance, emergency security work, browser limitations, or service-provider failures may affect availability. Offline operation requires a compatible browser and a previously loaded product shell. We may update these terms prospectively and will post the updated effective date.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Professional review remains required.

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. Outputs may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. The Waldrep Company LLC disclaims implied warranties to the extent legally permitted.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Waldrep Company LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of evidence, loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption. Aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where applicable law prohibits them.

Suspension and termination

Access may be suspended for a security risk, unlawful use, material breach, or nonpayment. Before ending access, export the backups and reports you need. Subscription termination does not delete content stored in your browser profile, but access to that content depends on retaining the device vault, passphrase, and compatible software.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts with jurisdiction in Alabama will have jurisdiction over disputes unless applicable law requires otherwise. Questions or notices may be sent to info@thewaldrepcompany.com.
